About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a Operations Manager for our Stuart, FL location. This critical leadership role will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across all manufacturing functions, ensuring the efficient production of precision aerospace components that meet the highest standards of quality, cost, and delivery. This role oversees multiple production areas, driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and team development in alignment with company goals. The Sr. Manufacturing Manager partners closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management to ensure successful execution of manufacturing objectives and long-term business sustainability.

In Stuart, we employ approximately 300 employees and generate roughly $170 million in revenue annually. Location: Stuart, FL - This role requires up to 5% travel, including visits to other company sites, suppliers, or industry events as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides strategic direction and leadership for all manufacturing operations to achieve business objectives related to safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors operational strategies to ensure alignment with company vision, customer requirements, and growth plans.
  • Ensures optimal utilization of people, equipment, and materials to meet production schedules and delivery commitments.
  • Establishes and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and production control processes; monitors performance and drives corrective actions to achieve operational targets.
  • Leads a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging Kaizen methodologies to enhance throughput, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
  • Tracks and reports key performance indicators (KPIs) including efficiency, downtime, scrap, and productivity; implements data-driven solutions to improve performance.
  • Champions quality and compliance, ensuring all operations adhere to AS9100, OSHA, and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain) to resolve complex manufacturing issues, support new product introductions, and optimize process capability.
  • Drives cost reduction and productivity initiatives to enhance profitability and competitiveness.
  • Develops leadership talent within the manufacturing organization by coaching, mentoring, and providing professional development opportunities to Supervisors, Engineers, and Team Leads.
  • Promotes a positive employee relations environment through communication, engagement, and accountability.
  • Ensures proactive facility and equipment maintenance to support continuous operations and minimize downtime.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in aerospace manufacturing or precision machining, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale manufacturing operations and deliver measurable business results.
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven success in leading organizational change, improving processes, and enhancing operational performance.
  • Effective communicator capable of influencing across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Deep understanding of aerospace manufacturing, machining, and sheet metal fabrication processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of Kaizen and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams, with a track record of coaching, mentoring, and driving accountability within a manufacturing function.
  • Demonstrates high energy, initiative, and a strong work ethic; thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Proven ability to be a collaborative team player, building strong partnerships across functions and levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear business insights.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; ability to build models, reports, and leadership-ready presentations.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
  • Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
