General Summary of Position Deliver and pickup packages between MSMH and designated locations. A set courier route/schedule will be maintained. Stat pickups and deliveries will also occur. Employee will assist in stock room as needed. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations. Picks up and delivers various packages and supplies to all MedStar St. Mary's locations on a regular scheduled route. Meets time requirements of set courier route. Picks up and delivers mail twice a day between the MedStar Office Services Center and USPS. Ensures certified and return receipt mail is properly handled. Completes all banking deposits for business office and delivers all receipts, charge tickets (Visa and MasterCard) to Bank of America and PNC bank. Picks up and delivers lab specimens from many locations with the end of day goal of returning prior to the Reference Lab pick in the evening. Picks up pharmaceuticals for delivery along route Picks up and delivers supplies ordered by the off- site locations, including Stat or AdHoc runs as needed. Minimum Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent. required Licenses and Certifications DL - Valid State Driver's License in good standing Must possess and maintain current Maryland Drivers license. required and Must maintain clean driving record. required This position has a hiring range of $18 - $29.74
