Overview Con Edison, a multibillion-dollar energy utility, is leading the clean energy transition in New York City and Westchester County. We invest hundreds of millions of dollars annually to integrate distributed resources into our electric and gas systems, support electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and scale adoption of energy efficiency and clean heating technologies across our customers. The Clean Energy Specialist, Distributed Energy Resource Integration and Management (DERIM) will support the Product Management team in the development and deployment of the Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems (DERMS) platform and continued emphasis on Distributed Energy Resource data. The Clean Energy Specialist will participate in data analysis, visualization, cleaning, and maintenance for distributed energy resources. They will meet with key internal DERMS, Distribution Generation, and team stakeholders and collaborate with the DERMS Data Steward and Product Owners for prioritization and implementation of user requirements. The candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining key dashboards, conduct routine testing, and assist with deployment-based testing. The candidate will also track defects, feedback, and catalog system deficiencies to ensure data products and analyses are adhering to SLAs. The Specialist demonstrates a high regard for personal accountability and communication.

- Interact with internal and external stakeholders and customers to implement data requirements
- Prepare presentations and become a subject matter expert in critical DER initiatives and provide high level summaries as needed
- Conduct analyses and assist with data cleaning for the DER Asset Repository
- Prepare documents detailing data flows, data requirements, system requirements, and testing plans
- Communicate insights from analytics to business users and decision makers.
- Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of work-related experience.
Relevant Work Experience
- Demonstrated quantitative and presentation experience in work, school, or other context. Required.
- Very strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral). Required.
- Demonstrated leadership and communication experience in work, school, or other contexts. Required.
- Experience producing formal documentation. Required.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data. Required.
- Proficient use of MS Office, required.
- Familiarity with renewable technology and Distributed Energy Resources, preferred.
- Self-sufficient person who can work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams, preferred.
- Experience in the utility and/or energy industry a plus, preferred.
- Proficient in data visualization and communication using Oracle, SQL, PowerBI & Tableau, preferred.
- Experience using Azure Dev Ops and Agile development methodologies to streamline workflows, preferred.
- Experience in operations/engineering design of the Distribution system. Preferred.
- Experience in communication protocols (SCADA, ADR, 2030.5, or other). Preferred
- Experience in inverters and/or relay protections. Preferred.

Additional Physical Demands
- The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
