$26-30/hr 1st Shift Brookfield, WI Job Category: Manufacturing Job Details: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. 1. Welding procedures prescribed and methods standardized, but deviations may require selection of variations in techniques. 2. Position fabricated components in fitup jigs and fixtures and use turning rigs where available, or position and clamp components for welding, using care to maintain dimensions; use templates, temporary material stop gauging devices or patterns. 3. Operate various welding, soldering or brazing equipment to assemble machine. 4. Use various precision measuring equipment to check work. 5. Operate hoist, cranes, riggings, dollies and trucks to move equipment from one location to another. 6. Operate lathe, milling machines and drill press to grind, file and adjust machine parts to dimensional specifications. 7. Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures. 8. Comply with all safety regulations. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma. Requires a general knowledge of welding methods and techniques, material characteristics and fitup procedures as may be acquired through 2 years of vocational school or by formal on the job training plus 2-3 years experience. Certified fork lift license. Language Skills Ability to read, interpret and work from drawings, bills' of material and specifications. Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one situations with other employees in the organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Must be able to perform metric conversions. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations. Other Qualifications Ability to operate various hand and power tools. Use rule, templates, straight edge, plumbline and fixed gauges.
