DESCRIPTION

Join Our Team at UC San Diego Health - Koman Outpatient PavilionBe part of a dynamic rehabilitation team in an 8,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility featuring indoor and outdoor treatment areas and advanced assistive technology, including AlterG anti-gravity treadmill, Noraxon treadmill, and force plate systems.

Position: Rehabilitation Services Aide (Per Diem)

Under general supervision, the Rehabilitation Services Aide supports therapists across designated services, providing both direct and indirect patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with selected patient treatments under the direct supervision of a PT, OT, or SLP.
  • Support patient ambulation and mobility programs.
  • Maintain departmental and equipment readiness.
  • Assist with return-to-work and sports rehabilitation programs.
  • Perform clerical tasks, scheduling, and other administrative duties.
  • Participate in training, program development, and departmental initiatives.

Specialty Services Supported:

  • General, Sports, Orthopedic, and Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy
  • Lymphedema and Hand Occupational Therapy
  • Speech Therapy

Patient Population:

Primarily adult and geriatric patients from diverse backgrounds, with occasional pediatric and adolescent care.

Schedule:

Per diem position providing coverage across multiple outpatient rehab locations. Weekday and weekend availability preferred for maximum flexibility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of two (2) years of related experience or education/training.

  • Skills, knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Volunteer or paid experience in a rehabilitation, medical or health related setting.
  • Previous education in Kinesiology, Athletic Training or Movement Science and Anatomy.
  • Experience in customer service.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $64,039 - $64,039 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $30.67 - $30.67

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
