Client Facing Business Analyst

Genesis10
life insurance, 401(k)
Oct 17, 2025
Job Description:

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst with our client in the healthcare industry. This is a 6-month contract position and is fully remote.

Compensation: $55.00 - 60.00 per hour W2, depending on skill and experience level.

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA) with a strong background in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) or healthcare systems to support a high-profile, highly visible client engagement. This BA will play a pivotal role as the bridge between client stakeholders and technical teams, driving forward system enhancement and change requests that have accumulated across multiple PBM platforms.

The ideal candidate is not just analytical, but also a strong driver of delivery-someone who can diplomatically manage a client that tends toward "solutioning," committee decision-making, and shifting priorities. Success in this role depends on the BA's ability to guide the client toward clarity, keep initiatives on track, and ensure actionable, SMART-quality requirements for development teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary client-facing BA, leading discussions, clarifying requirements, and driving prioritization for a high-visibility healthcare client.
  • Translate business needs and enhancement requests into clear, actionable requirements for technical and development teams.
  • Lead the work, not follow it-act as the driver and point of accountability, ensuring projects progress despite client indecision or shifting focus.
  • Facilitate and influence client conversations to align on direction and avoid endless re-solutioning cycles.
  • Collaborate closely with PBM developers, QA, and product owners to ensure requirements are technically feasible and aligned with business goals.
  • Utilize the PBM's established documentation standards and SMART Requirements methodology (training and templates will be provided).
  • Manage requirements traceability, version control, and change management across multiple initiatives.
  • Partner with internal leadership to communicate progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in healthcare or PBM industry (eligibility, claims, accumulators, formulary, or benefit setup experience strongly preferred).
  • Proven ability to lead and drive client discussions and deliverables in complex, politically sensitive environments.
  • Exceptional communication, diplomacy, and influencing skills-able to push projects forward while maintaining positive client relationships.
  • Experience managing system enhancement requests, backlog prioritization, and requirements grooming across multiple systems or platforms.
  • Familiarity with SDLC methodologies
  • Strong documentation and analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex business problems into actionable stories or requirements.
  • Comfortable working with technical teams and understanding data and system flows.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply established internal BA frameworks and documentation standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience.
