- As a Controls Engineer, you'll get to play with toys...big toys.
- We handle all of the electrical and programming needs for West Michigan related to the manufacturing equipment.
- What type of equipment?Glad you asked.
- We design and support all types of wood and metal fabrication equipment.
- Specifically, we cut, route, bore, glue, move, punch, form, bend, weld, paint, and assemble.
- To do these operations, our equipment varies from presses to robot cells to assembly lines and a whole lot more.
- That means we never get bored and always have different types of equipment to play with.
- We stay busy with tasks ranging from day-to-day operations support to retrofitting machines and building new equipment.

- Partner with operations, maintenance, and other engineers to support existing equipment and keep product shipping out our doors
- Build and modify equipment
- Receive mentoring from Senior Level and Engineering Leadership
- Generate Bill of Materials
- Manage budgets
- Develop electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics with AutoCAD Electrical
- Program PLCs, robots, HMIs, and more
- Assist with quoting new equipment and processes
- Train others on the electrical aspects of equipment
- Be part of a supportive team working towards the same goals
- Drive tasks to completion with oversight of leadership
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives
Sound Like You? You might be just who we're looking for if you have...
- An Electrical Engineering/Technical degree from an accredited program, a two-year Technical degree in arelated field, or fiveyears of applicable engineering experience.
- Three to five years of professional engineering experience or one to threeyears of specialty engineering experience is a plus.
- Previous experience with machine control hardware such as PLCs, servos, drives, cameras, and robots.
- Previous experience with hardware from manufacturers such as Allen Bradley, Banner, Cognex, Fanuc, Keyence, Turck, and more.
- Experiencein documentingwork and processes so others can replicate, and support installed work.
- Other programming experience with C, Java, Ignition, .NET, or Python is a plus.
- Perhaps experience building synergy around Industry 4.0 and other buzz worthy things.
- Experience running and/or participating in projects.
- The ability to see problems and go after fixing them. We want your input to continuously improve our processes.
- The ability to communicate effectively with people at various levels, including Operations, Engineering, and Management, as well as the abilityto work well with and develop a partnering relationship with other team members.
- We have a great team and are looking for another team player.
- Basic computer skills are a requirement.

- The abilityto assess priorities and determine a course of action with minimal day-to-day supervision, as well as the abilityto anticipate, recognize, and respond effectively to changes which affect project plans.
