*** Part- Time up to 29 Per Week, Monday- Friday, between the hours of 7:30 A.M.- 4: 00 P.M., Pay Rate: $14.00 Per Hour***

Summary/Primary Purpose: This position is responsible for planning of the monthly activity schedule for Adult Day Care participants.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:




  • This position is responsible for creating and scheduling the monthly adult day care activity calendar.
  • Leads activities including recreation, snacks, crafts, etc.
  • Responsible for ensuring supplies are available for use in planned activities.
  • Assist participants with daily life functions such as eating, utilizing bathroom facilities, and putting on coats.
  • Builds positive relationships with participants.
  • Consistently promotes morale, productivity, and good communication.
  • Ensures compliance with The Salvation Army's Safe from Harm guidelines and policies.


  • All other duties as assigned.



Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma (Combination of education and experience will be considered). Previous experience working with activities and/or groups would be beneficial.

Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.




  • Ability to be flexible and able to work on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft software include Word, Excel, as well as the ability to access payroll, timekeeping, and personal data via a web-based system.
  • Administrative skills to include utilization of standard office equipment, data entry, 10-key,
  • attention to details and filing.
  • Good communication skills both written and spoken, and ability to maintain effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters.



Other Qualifications: Must pass all applicable background checks. Must successfully complete Safe from Harm training within 90 days of hire, as established by The Salvation Army.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None required, CPR Certification would be beneficial.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Physical requirements include good speaking, hearing and vision ability and excellent manual dexterity. Ability to stand, bend and reach for extended periods of time, dexterity of hands and fingers. This position will require the ability to lift and/or move more than 50 pounds occasionally.

Working Conditions: The work environment will be moderate to loud at times as it involves working in open areas such as the dining room, activity areas, kitchen and relaxation areas.
