Marketing Assistant (Hourly Position)

We're looking for a detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to join our growing marketing team supporting multiple brands across the trucking, heavy equipment and power generation industries. This position will provide critical administrative, logistical, and operational support to help execute marketing initiatives efficiently across seven states and over ten brands.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks at once - from coordinating promotional inventory to assisting with content scheduling and event preparation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in keeping projects moving smoothly. Candidate must live in, or be willing to relocate to, the Kansas City Missouri area.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory & Logistics
  
  
  
  • Track, organize, and manage marketing materials, branded merchandise, and promotional inventory across multiple locations.
  • Process and fulfill internal requests for promotional items and printed materials.
  • Coordinate shipments and deliveries for events, trade shows, and internal campaigns.
  
  
  
  
• Content & Administrative Support
  
  
  
  • Assist with scheduling and posting approved content to social media and internal platforms.
  • Maintain marketing calendars, project timelines, and shared asset libraries.
  • Help proofread and prepare marketing materials, emails, and presentations.
  • Update marketing databases, contact lists, and CRM systems as needed.
  • Maintain Google Business Profiles and other platforms.
  
  
  
  
• Event & Campaign Support
  
  
  
  • Assist in preparing materials and logistics for trade shows, sponsorships, and customer events.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams on signage, collateral, and shipping deadlines.

  • Support the Marketing Manager and Director with daily administrative tasks.
  • Manage purchase orders, invoices, and vendor documentation.
  • Help ensure smooth communication across departments and brands.
  
  
  
  

Schedule & Compensation

• Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt
• Schedule: Full-time, typically Monday-Friday, occasional weekend events
• Compensation Range: $22-$28 per hour (based on experience)

About the Team

You'll join a collaborative marketing department consisting of a Marketing Director, Marketing Manager, and Digital Designer, and Recruiting staff, supporting a dynamic business representing over 10 brands in the heavy equipment and power generation industries. Qualifications

• 1-3 years of administrative, marketing, or communications experience preferred (internships count).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to handle multiple priorities.
• High attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, or similar tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with social media platforms, CRM systems, or marketing software preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally (for event setup or promo inventory).
