Genesis10 is currently seeking an Information Security Analyst with our client in the healthcare industry. This is a 6-month contract position and is fully remote.

Compensation: $50.00 per hour W2, depending on skill and experience level.

Job Description

The main function of an Information Security Analyst is to plan, coordinate, and implement security measures for information systems to regulate access to computer data files and prevent unauthorized modification, destruction or disclosure of information. A typical Information Security Analyst is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures to safeguard the computer database.

Job Responsibilities:

Identify security issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans Architect, design, implement, support, and evaluate security-focused tools and services including project leadership roles Develop and interpret security policies and procedures Participate in security compliance efforts Develop and deliver training materials and perform general security awareness and specific security technology training Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required 5-7 years experience required Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, and application security Consistent implementation of security solutions Experience in infrastructure or application-level vulnerability testing and auditing

Project & Workflow Management

- Manage and track security-related tasks and deliverables using Jira, including epics, stories, and subtasks.

- Create and maintain Jira dashboards and reports to monitor progress, blockers, and deadlines.

Security Documentation Inventory

- Maintain an organized inventory of program related documents (e.g., test results, implementation evidence, scan reports).

- Ensure documents are properly tagged, versioned, and stored in designated repositories (e.g., Jira, SharePoint, Confluence).

- Coordinate with stakeholders to collect and validate evidence for compliance (e.g., screenshots, reports, attestation forms).

Stakeholder Collaboration

- Liaise with security team to ensure alignment on requirements.

- Support onboarding of new applications into the security compliance framework.

- Provide regular status updates to leadership and escalate risks or delays.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 5-7 years of experience in project management, preferably in IT or cybersecurity.

- Proficiency in Jira for project tracking and reporting.

- Strong organizational and documentation skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
