Electro-Mechanical Technician

STS Technical Services is hiring Electro-Mechanical Technicians in Indianapolis, Indiana to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot automated, robotic, and electromechanical equipment. This role combines electrical and mechanical expertise to support high-efficiency manufacturing operations and ensure minimal downtime.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, and specifications
  
• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment
  
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic calibration on facility equipment
  
• Troubleshoot electronic instrumentation including thermocouples, tachometers, temperature controllers, and pressure transducers
  
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to support production demands
  
• Operate shop and material handling equipment safely, including forklifts
  
• Follow safety protocols and participate in inspections and risk assessments
  
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments
  

• 2+ years of industrial experience in an electrical/mechanical environment (trade program completion or Associate's Degree preferred)
  
• Basic understanding of PLCs, HMI systems, and motor drives
  
• Proficient in using multimeters and Microsoft Office Suite
  
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
  

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and use hands/arms regularly
  
• Exposure to mechanical parts, temperature extremes, moderate noise, and occasional outdoor conditions
  
• Rotating shift schedule; flexibility required
