Position Overview: The Information Technology group within Kimball International's Corporate Headquarters is seeking a college student for an exciting summer internship opportunity during the summer of 2026. This internship will provide hands-on experience in application development and software engineering, working alongside experienced developers on real-world projects that impact Kimball's business operations. Internship Responsibilities: * Assist in designing, coding, testing, and debugging software applications * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze application requirements * Support development and maintenance of web applications and system integrations * Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts * Help with troubleshooting and resolving software defects * Document application designs, user guides, and technical specifications Required Qualifications: * Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field * Basic understanding of programming languages such as C#, Python, or JavaScript * Familiarity with software development lifecycle and methodologies Preferred Qualifications: * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Effective communication and teamwork skills * Coursework or projects involving application development or software engineering * Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic knowledge of databases Location and Work Requirements: * Must be local to Jasper, IN * Required to work onsite at the Jasper Corporate Headquarters | |
