This role involves performing maintenance and repairs on advanced production equipment, troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team. This position requires maintaining and troubleshooting sophisticated production equipment, analyzing breakdowns, and upgrading equipment with new technologies. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong mechanical and electrical expertise, capable of working independently and under limited supervision while adhering to safety and quality standards. Job Location: Wayne, NJ Shift: 2nd shift 3:00pm-11:30pm, Monday-Friday - (training is on 1st shift 7a-3:30p for approximately 3 months) Compensation: $35.00-37.00, plus a shift differential of $1.00 Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, maintenance, and calibration on electro-mechanical production equipment and systems based on work orders and maintenance schedules, maintaining detailed maintenance, repair, and calibration records.
- Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical systems and components. Test and evaluate electro-mechanical assemblies and equipment for appropriate performance.
- Conduct and lead breakdown analysis to identify root causes in order to implement effective corrective actions.
- Follow local, state, and federal codes during equipment installation and maintenance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and equipment manuals to assemble, repair, and determine appropriate spares.
- Install electronic components using soldering tools and hand equipment.
- Respond with urgency to emergency repairs.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure operational efficiency, quality, and safety, including active participation in shift overlap meetings.
- Perform building and grounds maintenance, including snow removal and de-icer application.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including lock-out tag-out, arc flash prevention, working from heights procedures, etc.
- Support environmental requirements and project focuses, including energy conservation programs, aligned with ISO 14001 EMS standards.
- Support self-development and training of maintenance staff and team members, including being proactive in staying updated on new technologies, tools, and best practices associated with position responsibilities.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
- Associate Degree in Engineering discipline, preferably Electrical or Electronic, or equivalent in education and work experience.
- Successful completion of a technical assessment addressing job-critical maintenance knowledge.
- Proficiency in basic electrical systems, including starters, fuses, contacts, and relays.
- Experience with electrical and electrical control system installations and troubleshooting.
- Ability to interpret and apply information from product manuals and electrical schematics.
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical breakdowns.
- Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to appropriately read, write, and speak English
- Multi-tasking and prioritization skills in a fast-paced production environment.
- Experience with bench and automated test equipment for electrical/electronic system evaluation

Provided is the pay rate for this position, which is $35.00 to $37.00 plus a 2nd shift differential of $1.00/hour. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of the hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs/week * 52 weeks)) for this position is $82,300 to $86,900.00. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and, by nature, can vary based on company and individual performance and are not a guarantee. Additional Pay Incentives for This Role Include:
