The Opportunity

Reporting directly to Senior Manager, Procurement & Expediting, this is a people leader role that will directly manage and lead the critical Supply Chain Procurement function for the US. This role is responsible for providing advanced leadership and partnership with our business partners, developing, and executing key procurement activity, and delivering results that positively impact TCE's various BU organizations and their stakeholders. The Procurement Manager and respective team will directly interface with multiple different internal groups including Operations, Projects, and Engineering teams, and will also own and manage many external relationships with 3rd party vendors.

A subject matter expert and team representative, the role is accountable to plan, oversee, review and provide approvals for the requirements of Buyer activities including the full RO/PO cycle from creation to close out.

What you'll do

  • Prioritize, allocate and govern work activities to meet business needs and mitigate risk; maintain data integrity and accuracy; ensure compliance with SOX, corporate policy, contractual obligations and other requirements

  • Develop and execute annual business plans, operational budgets, and other projects and initiatives in a cost-effective manner that align with function objectives

  • Demonstrate strong leadership, team resource planning and performance management, with effective hiring, onboarding, training and coaching strategies, and can lead change and help others adapt to a changing environment

  • Establish an environment of continuous improvement; develop and optimize processes and practices to ensure efficiency and accuracy; support development and implementation of technology initiatives

  • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and deliver team productivity in line with business goals and service level expectations which may be defined in service level agreements (SLAs)

  • Inspire the team with clear vision, goals and priorities, set clear expectations of roles and responsibilities, identify and communicate best practices, recognize and reward successes, and promote a highly collaborative and cohesive team environment

  • Live corporate values; care and act with compassion; provide challenging opportunities for people to grow and develop to their full potential

  • Adhere to all safety standards and promote an environment of safety first

  • Ensure team compliance with training requirements, work standards, policies and procedures

  • Other duties as assigned from time to time

  • Participate and support the purchase or divestiture of companies from inception to close. The event is an integrated process, and the responsibilities may vary depending on the stage of a transaction.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A post-secondary education or equivalent and minimum of eight (8) years of Supply Chain Management experience specifically related to sourcing and procure to pay processes

  • Minimum of two (2) years demonstrated leadership experience (formal or informal)

  • Working knowledge of SAP or similar platform; demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent planning, organizing and prioritizing ability; effectively uses team resources to accomplish objectives

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; demonstrates influencing ability

  • Takes initiative and demonstrates continuous improvement mindset, strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Team player with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and can develop and maintain collaborative working relationships and manage multiple stakeholder expectations

  • Ability to work with a large volume of transactions; capability and flexibility to respond to critical deadlines, and changing priorities and requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Designation in Supply Chain management

  • Experience with contracts and contract management

  • Experience with Holdback regulations, requirements and overall management

  • Ability to distill high complex issues and quickly find resolutions to get results
