Finance Operations, Lead

Earlier in 2025, Sonoco announced it was performing a strategic review of the ThermoSafe business unit. In order to support a newly formed global packaging company with annual revenues exceeding $280 million, we are seeking a Finance Operations Lead who will ensure efficient financial operations, combining cash management, forecasting, and process oversight to support the company's objectives.

The Finance Operations, Lead will report directly to the ThermoSafe Head of Finance and will play a critical role in managing the company's global financial health.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead cash forecasting and modeling to maintain liquidity and support strategic goals.
• Manage AR/AP processes, driving efficiency and accuracy as systems scale next year.
• Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and operational analysis for leadership.
• Streamline financial workflows and implement process improvements.
• Collaborate with finance and operational teams to align on company priorities.

This position is a hybrid position that will be located out of our Arlington Heights, IL Headquarters.

We'd love to hear from you if:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years in finance operations, FP&A, or cash management roles.
• Expertise in cash flow forecasting, AR/AP management, and financial systems.
• Strong leadership and process optimization skills in a smaller organization.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Experience working in the manufacturing or packaging industry is a plus.

Compensation:

The annual base salary range for this role is from $122,240 to $137,520, plus an annual target bonus of 7.5% of base salary.
