Description
The Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics at The University of Texas at Austin invites applicants for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The field of aerospace engineering is undergoing a revolutionary transformation with the commercialization and utilization of space, and growth in advanced air mobility and sustainable aviation. We seek candidates that hold promise for leading this transformation. An emphasis will be placed on applicants that have a clear vision about how they will contribute to emerging areas of aerospace engineering. Candidates must have a PhD in engineering or a related discipline. The successful candidate will be expected to create undergraduate and graduate learning environments that address the needs of students from a variety of backgrounds, with differing learning styles and abilities. Further, the successful applicant will be expected to develop an externally sponsored research program, mentor graduate students, collaborate with other faculty, and be involved in service to the university and profession.
