Job Description (General Summary)

Intralox, L.L.C., a division of Laitram, L.L.C., and a global provider of conveyance solutions and services has an opening for a Mold Maintenance Technician in the Hammond Mold Shop. Technicians are responsible for the disassembly, cleaning and reassembly of Plastic Injection Tooling with a high level of accuracy. Other tasks include troubleshooting tooling problems, minor repairs, configuration changes, and the replacement of tooling components.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Keeping production molds in a ready to run state.
  • Troubleshooting and predicting mechanical and performance issues in our molds.
  • Inspecting and analyzing critical components both old and new for defects.
  • Effective communication (verbal and written)
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to perform the essential job requirements identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, including the ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • It is essential that this position be performed at the facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • High level of motivation and self-management.
  • Minimum of (3) years of hands-on technical experience with a proven work history.
  • Pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical knowledge.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Familiarity with reading blue prints and schematics.
  • Required to work a 12 hour day or night shift. (3on/2off/2on/3off)
  • Ability to be on call when required.

Desired Qualifications

  • Two or more years of community college/trade school.
  • Previous manufacturing, injection molding or plastics experience.
  • Prior diagnostic and troubleshooting experience in areas such as: industrial ac, elevators, escalators, diesel mechanics, HVAC and/or automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Machining experience
