Job Description:

The Facilities Maintenance Program Manager delivers on our Purpose by conducting station visits and ensuring all work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) are completed efficiently at Southwest Airlines facilities in cities assigned by the Regional Manager. This role also assists the Corporate Facilities Project Managers and provides support to the Facilities Maintenance Team. The Facilities Maintenance Program Manager is an organized Team player who looks forward to piloting their own career with Heart.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Facilities Maintenance Leadership to conduct station visits for asset checks and ensure all Corporate Facilities assets are updated in the CMMS
  • Proactively monitor preventative maintenance issues and scope, ensuring the appropriate level of priority, visibility, alignment, communication and escalation
  • Oversee completion of all maintenance requests
  • Responsible for monitoring the CMMS system and organizing work performed by contractors in cities assigned by the Regional Manager, and ensure tasks are performed effectively and efficiently to have the least impact on our Customers' daily operations
  • Perform quality control inspections of facilities, including functionality and condition of mechanical and electrical rooms, restrooms, public areas, roofs, exterior finishes, sidewalks, hold rooms, potable water cabinets, stairwells, and parking areas
  • Perform janitorial audits
  • Train and assist proper procedures and use of CMMS
  • Manage direct, vendor relations, and contracts including expected response times to support the critical program
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings, parking lots, grounds and/or other structures
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing Customer and personal services including Customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of Customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge of routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
  • Skilled in understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
  • Skilled in identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system
  • Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Ability to build relationships with partners and Leadership at all levels, and make sound recommendations while providing support and guidance for the business
  • Ability to work well with others as part of a team and manage and influence others, who are not direct reports, to provide specific results
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various levels or Leadership and outside vendors
Education
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
  • Advanced-level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
    • Construction and building repair fundamentals
    • Electrical and mechanical repair

Licensing/Certification

  • Must be able to obtain a SIDA (Secured Identification Display Area) badge and meet all local airport requirements
  • Must have a valid state driver's license
  • Must be able to obtain a US Passport
Physical Abilities
  • Ability to perform work duties from limited space workstation/desk/office area for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to raise/move/transport 100 lbs on an occasional basis (under 50%)
Other Qualifications
  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed, including nights and weekends, and overnight travel over 50%

Pay & Benefits:

Competitive market salary from $91,250.00 per year to $101,400.00 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
