UMKC's Kansas City Athletics Job Description
Kansas City Athletics is seeking qualified candidates for a Strength and Conditioning Coach to serve as the Assistant Director of Sports Performance. The Assistant Director of Sports Performance is responsible for the management of the strength and conditioning of several of Kansas City Athletics sports programs. Duties include but are not limited to:
Some weekend and holiday work may be required based on specific sport seasons and team travel. The candidate will ensure compliance with NCAA, Summit League Conference, and University of Missouri-Kansas City regulations. Coach, motivate, and design strength, speed, agility, and conditioning programs for assigned sports. Communicate with supervisor, sport coaches and Sports Medicine Staff and assist with on-campus recruiting for assigned sports. Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in related/relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary. One to two years' experience in developing and implementing weight training programs is necessary. CSCS, SCCC, or NASM certification. CPR/AED certification. General nutrition background. Anticipated Hiring Range
$52,916 - $60,000 commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity. Application Materials
