Description
The Employment Services Program Support Specialist provides comprehensive administrative and human resources support to service members, veterans, and their families. This role ensures efficient coordination of employment services, data management, and event support across Indiana Army National Guard (INARNG) programs. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain spreadsheets, schedules, appointments, and document archives
- Prepare, proofread, and finalize recurring and ad hoc documents
- Track communications via phone and email logs for employment service inquiries
- Review and validate qualification standards, rating schedules, and application materials
- Support Employment and Community Engagement Events across INARNG commands
- Provide employment placement services and conduct follow-ups at 30-, 60-, and 90-day intervals
- Administer employment program paperwork and assist with J1 program resources
- Input and monitor data in employment assistance databases; analyze trends and outcomes
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal policies
- Offer guidance, training, and mentorship to job-seeking service members and veterans
- Assist in developing presentations, tracking tools, and database inputs
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to program development
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License (required)
- Associate's degree preferred; prior Army or Air National Guard experience highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Proficiency with administrative tools and familiarity with HR processes
- Commitment to supporting and engaging with military communities
