Industrial Painter - Paint Team Location: Cudahy, WI Shift: 1st Shift - Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM Pay: $25-$30/hour (based on experience) Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to join our Paint Team in Cudahy, WI. In this critical role, you will be responsible for mixing and applying primers and finish coats to custom steel fabrications, ensuring each product meets strict quality and safety standards before leaving our facility. Key Responsibilities: Mix paints accurately to customer specifications and apply primer and finish coats to steel fabrications. Ensure proper dry film thickness (DFT) is achieved on all painted components. Inspect and prepare surfaces, all of which are blasted to at least an SPC-6 finish. Mask and protect machined surfaces and threaded holes before painting. Work with a variety of parts, including repetitive OEM components and one-time custom fabrications. Conduct final quality checks to identify any defects or issues before parts move to the next stage. Maintain a clean and organized workspace and perform routine maintenance on paint equipment. Communicate effectively with the team to ensure consistent standards and workflow. Qualifications: Several years of experience painting steel fabrications in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of paint mixing, surface prep, and application techniques. Familiarity with dry film thickness requirements and quality standards for industrial coatings. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify potential defects or inconsistencies. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Proven ability to maintain equipment and ensure a safe, clean, and efficient work area.
