The Quality Engineer develops and supports product quality system improvements and leads efforts to develop, maintain and deploy quality plans and activities that translate customer requirements into planned activities. This position plans and directs activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of quality standards by providing technical support, related to corrective actions, process control, statistical analysis, customer complaints, component validation, product measurement and testing, product launch, certification and audits. This position will ensure implementation of robust root cause and corrective actions (RCCA) process, to assist HDT and its suppliers in the proper planning, defining of problem statement, containment, and root cause analysis that goes beyond but is not limited to "5 Why" to include options for Cause-and-Effect Diagrams, Fault Tree Diagrams, etc. Supporting effective long term corrective actions for noted nonconformances with detailed timelines.
