ReconCraft is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team and support precision manufacturing operations in Clackamas, OR. The CNC Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC equipment to ensure accurate and efficient production. This role includes uploading pre-programmed NC files, configuring tools and machines for specific operations, monitoring equipment performance, conducting routine maintenance, and performing quality control checks. The CNC Operator will also contribute to production planning by maintaining accurate cutting schedules and documenting non-conforming parts.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):



  • Execute daily work activities as directed by the Pre-Fabrication Supervisor and maintain a realistic production schedule.
  • Safely operate CNC cutting equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while adhering to established quality standards.
  • Handle materials and raw plate using overhead cranes and oversized forklifts (training and certification provided by ReconCraft).
  • Apply a thorough understanding of tools, equipment, and software to optimize cutting processes.
  • Capture and document red-line changes using controlled documentation processes.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Maintain accurate cutting schedules with estimated time durations and expected completion dates.
  • Support company objectives and growth by completing other tasks as assigned.


Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:



  • Citizenship:

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen in accordance with federal contract eligibility requirements




  • Education:

    • High School Diploma (GED).




  • Experience

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience operating CNC cutting and/or forming equipment.
    • Strongly preferred: experience with aluminum CNC router, waterjet cutting, or CNC forming.
    • Background in metalworking with documented relevant work experience.
    • Proficiency with hand, air, and power tools.
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
    • Experience following production travelers, written/verbal instructions, and safety/quality control procedures.




  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift 50lbs.
    • Prolonged standing, bending, stooping, climbing ladders, grasping, pushing, pulling, and stretching.
    • Ability to work extended hours when required to meet production deadlines.
