Job Description

AM Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00AM - 2:30PM*

Pay: $93,600.00 - $101,920.00 annual depending on experience

As a Machine Shop Supervisor/Programmer you will:

Machine Shop Supervisor, Programmer Key responsibilities include troubleshooting technical issues, providing training to team members, collaborating with engineering on production plans, enforcing safety protocols, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.This hybrid role requires strong technical CNC Programming, Set UP and Machining knowledge and effective leadership skills.Manage the day to day operation on the floor and follow direction of the machine Shop Manager

What will my responsibilities include?

  • Schedule and prioritize production orders to adhere to operational due dates.
  • Save all NC programs back to server. Add Approved to the top of the program. Verify date and cycle time and setup time from the last run of the program from the machinist.
  • Train and mentor, best practices, programming techniques, and safety procedures and policies.
  • Train all employees on setup on all CNC lathes and mills and running instruction.
  • Oversees set-up, operation and troubleshooting of CNC machines and perform quality inspections to ensure parts meet requirements
  • Work closely with Supply Chain teams to support production requirements.
  • Program CNC Mills and Lathes as necessary.
  • Report on Gemba Boards twice a week and run reports as necessary.
  • Drive set up reduction initiatives and efficiency improvements in the department
  • Conduct 1st Article inspections and partner with QA for part validation and non-conform.
Qualifications

What key skills and experience do I need?

  • Ten years' as a Machinist with 2-3 years lead experience preferred
  • 5 plus years of programmer experience
  • Strong understanding of Blueprint interpretation
  • GDT and precision measuring tools
  • Coordinate machine maintenance, tool calibration to ensure equipment readiness
  • Ensure maximum UP-time, on lathes and mills, and drive set up reduction and efficiency improvements

Education:

  • High School Diploma and or GED equivalent
  • Some college preferred and or Trade School

Computer Skills:

  • Knowledge of ERP systems or shop management software
  • Experience in CAD/CAM software. (Mastercam, Solid works CAM, Fusion 360, Esprit)
  • Working knowledge in MSOffice (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in CNC Programming and SET-UP. (Fanuc, HAAS, Siemens, or other controls.)
