Position Overview

The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the product management team in the development, management, and optimization of a diverse portfolio of products. This role involves conducting market research, analyzing product performance, and providing insights to inform product decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a broad understanding of product management principles, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

What you'll do:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.

  • Analyze customer needs, preferences, and feedback to inform product development and enhancements.

  • Prepare detailed market analysis reports and presentations for the product management team.

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess product performance.

  • Identify areas for improvement and provide actionable insights to the product management team.

  • Prepare regular reports on product performance, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and opportunities.

  • Collect and analyze data from various sources, including customer feedback, sales data, and usage metrics.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations to track product performance and trends.

  • Present findings and recommendations to the product management team and other stakeholders.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of product roadmaps, specifications, and user stories.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to support product development and delivery.

  • Participate in user testing and gather insights to improve product usability and customer satisfaction.

  • Identify opportunities to improve product management processes and methodologies.

  • Implement best practices and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of product management activities.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and product management best practices.

  • Communicate product insights, analysis, and recommendations to the product management team and other stakeholders.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for product initiatives.

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams.

What you'll bring to Zelis:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or a related role.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Proficiency in using data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).

  • Experience with product management software and tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) is a plus.

  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Preferred certifications: Salesforce Business Analyst

Location and Workplace Flexibility

We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India. We foster a hybrid and remote friendly culture, and all our employee's work locations are based on the needs of the position and determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities, if applicable, vary based on the work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.

Base Salary Range

$95,000.00 - $127,000.00

At Zelis we are committed to providing fair and equitable compensation packages. The base salary range allows us to make an offer that considers multiple individualized factors, including experience, education, qualifications, as well as job-related and industry-related knowledge and skills, etc. Base pay is just one part of our Total Rewards package, which may also include discretionary bonus plans, commissions, or other incentives depending on the role.
