The base salary range for an Actuarial Reporting Analyst I is $45,000 to $63,000. The base salary range for an Actuarial Reporting Analyst II is $55,000 to $77,000 and for a Sr. Actuarial Reporting Analyst is $67,000 to $94,000. Actual salaries will vary by geographic location and are based on factors such as candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, competencies, and company equity. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company performance and individual performance.

Actuarial Reporting Analyst I Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Actuarial Report Analyst to join our Corporate Actuarial team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on transforming complex data into actionable insights and is passionate about leveraging tools like Excel and Power BI to drive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop, maintain, and enhance actuarial reports using advanced Excel functions and Power BI dashboards.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, and data governance teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions that support strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and contribute to the evolution of reporting standards and best practices.


Required Qualifications:



  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and VBA scripting.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining Power BI dashboards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with SQL, Power Query, or other data transformation tools.
  • Familiarity with actuarial models and insurance product structures.
  • Exposure to enterprise reporting environments and version control practices.


Required Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in actuarial reporting or data analytics within the insurance or financial services industry

Actuarial Reporting Analyst II

Focus: Intermediate analytics and strategic support

Responsibilities:



  • Provide moderate to complex analytical support to senior management.
  • Develop and modify reports covering financials and strategy.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of company data structures and definitions.
  • Lead or co-lead cross-functional projects.
  • Participate in industry surveys and perform ad hoc reporting.


Skills:



  • Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint scripting preferred.
  • Basic SQL, Power BI, Power Query, VBA knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and recognize trends.
  • 2-5 years of insurance analytics experience.


Sr. Actuarial Reporting Analyst

Focus: Strategic leadership and complex analytics

Responsibilities:



  • Lead complex analytics to support top and bottom-line growth initiatives.
  • Produce comprehensive variance reports between actual and planned results.
  • Communicate findings across all levels of the organization.
  • Own report functionality, enhancements, prioritization, and issue resolution.
  • Serve as primary contact for external partners


Skills:



  • Expert-level understanding of company operations and data structures.
  • Leadership in reporting strategy and stakeholder engagement.
  • High proficiency in data tools and actuarial methodologies.
  • 5+ years of experience with demonstrated leadership.
