Plastics/Cleanroom/Bag Assembler

Central Research Laboratories (CRL), the Remote Handling business within DESTACO is a key P&L serving the Life Sciences (pharmaceutical, radio-pharmaceutical and bio-containment) and Nuclear market segments. Our products are recognized in the marketplace under the CRL brand.

Position Summary:

Perform a variety of duties to assembling, inspecting, and packaging plastic components in a controlled cleanroom environment. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, manual dexterity, and adherence to cleanliness and quality standards to ensure all products meet regulatory and customer requirements. This position reports to the Assembly Supervisor.

Key Job Responsibilities included but not limited to:

Plastics

  • Review work orders for Qty, CRLD, Materials for Plastics and dates needed.
  • Place lubricant on O-rings per assembly print.
  • Follow the CRLD called out on each Job, Label and Package per print and router.
  • Use packaging sealer prior to boxing for shipping.
  • Complete Oracle transactions.
  • Move Product along with all paperwork to final inspection.

Sealer

  • Review work orders for QTY, CRLD, Materials for sleeves/Bags
  • Set up RF Sealer depending on Material
  • Read print specs.
  • Cut Materials to print specs.
  • Seal material to print specs.
  • Perform immersion Leak Test
  • Pill out proper documents
  • Complete Oracle transactions

Cleanroom

  • Review work orders for Qty, CRLD, Materials for Plastics and dates needed.
  • Wash product as needed
  • Prep all product as needed.
  • Assembly and leak test per print and CRLD.
  • Package per print and CRLD.
  • Complete Oracle transactions.
  • Fill out proper documents.
  • Review inventory of materials weekly and turn in bag tickets to reorder materials.
  • Review all Calibrations on testing and measuring equipment used to perform tasks.
  • Maintain Housekeeping during shift

Experience:

  • Requires dexterity skills
  • Basic math skills.
  • Requires ability to read, write and interpret prints to complete assemblies.
  • Must be able to mentally track several jobs simultaneously and actively stay productive at all times.
  • Requires close attention to detail.
  • Minimum 1 years working in a manufacturing environment required
  • Experience with Oracle a plus
  • Experience with MS Word and MS Excel
  • Must be able to work effectively under deadlines

Education and Certification Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Stand 10+ hours a day
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Eye hand coordination and attention to detail
  • Ability to bend, twist and turn
  • Must clear medical respirator and chemical handling exams required to work in Booting Area.
