Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Application Engineer to support the Food New Product Team in coordinating and managing field activities related to new product testing across Food, Conditioning, and Materials segments. This role will work alongside other technical experts to ensure successful field validation and customer adoption of new conveyor belt or related technologies.



Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
*Field Testing Coordination
*Conduct site audits and establish test agreements with customers
*Plan and manage logistics for field installations, including contingency planning
*Oversee installation activities and monitor performance over time
*Collect and analyze test data to communicate product value and performance
*Generate clear, actionable reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
*Support recently released products (within 1-2 years) to ensure smooth field performance, product troubleshooting
*Collaborate with New Product Development (NPD) and Application Engineering (AE) teams to resolve issues and prevent reputational risks
*Lead technical training and presentations to global teams upon product release
*Ensure consistent understanding of product capabilities and installation best practices
*Assist in identifying and qualifying field test opportunities
*Support cross-industry segment collaboration to identify synergies for new product applications
*Provide global support as needed for installations, troubleshooting, and training

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field

* Minimum 5 years of experience with conveying equipment, preferably in food processing environments

* Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

* Strong understanding of conveyor design, manufacturing processes, and fabrication techniques

* Hands-on mechanical and basic electrical skills; familiarity with controls (e.g., VFDs, PLCs)

* Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, organization and documentation skills

* Willingness to travel up to 50%, including occasional weekends and holidays

* Proficiency in CAD/SolidWorks and Microsoft Office
