As the Area Director of Marketing, you'll play a critical role in participating in and executing the strategic vision of all marketing and demand generation efforts for the region, its dining outlets, spas and wedding and group offerings. From driving top-line revenue across leisure, group and F&B channels to overseeing marketing efforts that elevate our brand positioning, you'll be at the center of growth and visibility. We are seeking someone with prior people management experience that will lead a small but mighty team of a manager and coordinator to support our hotels in Manhattan.

Candidates must already live within short commuting distance to Manhattan and should have a strong network of local contacts and partners.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

This role will work closely with the local GMs, sales, revenue and operations leaders, with oversight from Crescent corporate marketing, to ensure that all commercial initiatives are aligned and impactful. We're seeking a bold, data-savvy marketing leader who can blend hospitality storytelling with analytical precision to grow market share and attract travelers across every segment.



  • Works with Corporate Marketing to develop a differentiated hotel strategy for each hotel
  • Ensures hotels are implementing strategy across all guest touchpoints - works closely with GM, Operations and Sales leaders to develop a consistent guest/client experience
  • Develops marketing plans and budgets to achieve revenue goals at each hotel
  • Lead contact for GMs/DOSMs/DORMs, Corporate Marketing and agency partners
  • Manages team - sets weekly priorities, weekly check-ins and manages projects to completion
  • Creates local partnerships with like-minded brands/organizations/NYC&Co and negotiates co-promotions to help grow each hotel's audience
  • Manages agency partners - leading monthly meetings and holding vendors accountable to KPIs
  • Main liaison for visiting media and influencers - ensures VIP status and treatment
  • Leads monthly reporting and budgeting process, with assistance from Corporate Marketing


REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:



  • 8+ years of marketing experience with some hospitality and F&B background
  • Proven success in developing integrated marketing strategies that drive measurable revenue results
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, brand marketing/standards, partnerships and revenue-generating campaigns
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with cross-functional corporate and on-property teams
  • Agency/partner/vendor identification, negotiation and management skills
  • People management and team development skills
  • Extremely organized and well-versed in project management
  • Creative and analytical thinker with extensive reporting experience
