Cybersecurity Lead (Sr.) Washington, DC Pay From: $140,000 per year MUST: Sr. Cybersecurity Lead Active Secret required CISSP certification required Minimum 8 years of experience Cyber Security required Providing oversight of the design, development and implementation of security related support systems. Hands-on security testing, analyze test results, document risk, and recommend countermeasures Experience in communicating with Executive Leadership as needed, on the status of action items and/or results of activities Actively participate in or lead technical exchange meetings, documenting actions items/results of these events Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or a related field DUTIES: This role supports Dept of Commerce working will provide guidance on penetration testing, security architecture, and policy and compliance. Enhancement of the security architecture capabilities and SOPs to assess operations for execution and implementation. Maintain accountability to endure integrity and confidentiality of the process. Provide analysis of vulnerabilities. Review and make recommendations on program-level documentation (e.g., requirements specification, system architecture, design documents, test plans, security plans, etc.). Develop and document security evaluation test plan and procedures. Assist in researching, evaluating, and developing relevant Information Security policies and guidance. Actively participate in or lead technical exchange meetings, documenting actions items/results of these events. Brief Leadership as needed, on the status of action items and/or results of activities. Conduct hands-on security testing, analyze test results, document risk, and recommend countermeasures. Coordinate with other program elements conducting security testing. Assess/calculate risk based on threats, vulnerabilities, and shortfalls uncovered in testing. Identify mitigating countermeasures to identify threats, vulnerabilities, and shortfalls.
