The Consulting Intern will assist in delivering high-quality financial services to clients across various industries. This role involves supporting functions within accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense processing, and financial reporting. The intern will gain hands-on experience with cloud-based accounting technology while developing essential client communication and problem-solving skills. Our Outsourced Accounting group offers comprehensive services to help organizations manage their financial operations effectively. Our team handles tasks ranging from transaction processing to financial reporting, providing strategic, customized solutions tailored to each business. By utilizing cloud-based technology, we ensure efficient management of accounts payable and receivable, credit cards, banking, and invoicing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit card transactions using accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, BILL, and Fyle).
  • Post customer payments and assist with bank reconciliations.
  • Support the preparation of sales tax reports and maintain customer sales tax exemption certificates.
  • Download and record revenues from third-party applications and banking systems.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial reports, including variance analysis, budgets, and rolling forecasts.
  • Communicate with clients and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.
  • Participate in special projects, such as data management and process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in a bachelors or masters degree program in accounting, business/economics with an emphasis/concentration in accounting, or related field.
  • Expected completion of bachelors or masters degree in accounting between December 2026 and June 2027
  • Accounting GPA of 3.0 or above preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Prior bookkeeping experience, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and banking processes preferred.
  • Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, BILL, and Fyle preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interactions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Compensation:

This role offers a competitive hourly rate. The anticipated ranges for this position are outlined below and are subject to change:

  • $24/hour - $30/hour
