In the role of Junior Buyer, we'll count on you to:
- Effectively and professionally conduct activities associated with primarily procuring materials and equipment
- Know and understand basic procurement concepts, principles and practices, and basic techniques of ensuring task completion, project delivery processes, and supplier relationship expectations
- Learn and understand role of procurement, procurement's role in project delivery process, the value-added expectations, and perform assignments in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Know and understand basic concepts, principles, theories, and compliance requirements applicable to assigned group, subject area or commodity
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or other applicable major; previous procurement experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable. However, for some posted positions, a degree may be required to meet client or owning group requirements
- Previous experience in procurement or other procurement role
- Good analytical skills. Good organization skills
