Job Summary

The Manufacturing Test Technician plays a key role in supporting the design, development, and production of advanced manufacturing test systems. This position requires strong technical aptitude in electrical and mechanical systems, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams. The Technician will assemble, validate, and maintain automated test systems, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities




  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Test Engineers to understand design requirements and develop corresponding manufacturing test processes



  • Assemble, integrate, and support hardware, software, and instrumentation components of automated test systems



  • Build and validate manufacturing test processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements



  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate test equipment to optimize production efficiency and output quality



  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance test productivity and reduce costs



  • Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis of manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions



  • Perform preventive maintenance and ensure accurate documentation per quality procedures



  • Maintain records of manufacturing processes, equipment configurations, and production data



  • Execute validation protocols to verify test system accuracy, reliability, and repeatability



  • Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure adherence to all applicable standards and regulatory requirements




Job Requirements




  • Associate degree in Electronics, Engineering, or Manufacturing Technology, or at least 3 years of relevant experience



  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; medical device industry experience preferred



  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and regulatory compliance (including FDA standards)



  • Proficiency with electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and soldering/assembly tools



  • Experience with test automation software such as LabVIEW, TestStand, or similar platforms preferred



  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills



  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams



  • Strong communication and documentation skills



  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement



  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and test procedures



  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods

  • Full-time, on-site position



  • May require occasional overtime based on production needs
