The Intercompany Delivery Driver is responsible for ensuring efficient and timely movement of materials and information within the company's network, supporting various operational needs. This position will also assist with warehouse support, including staging outbound deliveries, verifying orders, completing local pickups, and assisting with general warehouse maintenance.

Responsibilities of Position:



  • Safely operate company vehicles, following all DOT, state, and federal regulations
  • Drive between company sites, vendors, and customer locations
  • Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups for internal departments, company sites, and vendor locations
  • Load, unload, and secure freight; ensure accurate and damage-free handling of materials
  • Conduct and document thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery paperwork, and compliance records
  • Pull, stage, verify, and prepare outbound orders for delivery
  • Assist with warehouse operations, including inventory movement, organization, and cleanliness
  • Perform routine equipment checks (forklift, crane, etc.) and report issues promptly
  • Provide professional service to both internal and external customers
  • Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to meet delivery schedules and service expectations
  • Support special projects, cross-training, and other duties as assigned



Supervisory Responsibility:



  • This position will not manage employees



Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:



  • Proficient with GPS, route navigation, and map reading
  • Excellent truck driving/maneuvering skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, verbal and written with internal and external customers



Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position:



  • 1-2 years previous CDL driving preferred
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and troubleshooting
  • Crane certification required
  • Forklift certification (or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire)



Physical Requirements in a Regular Workday:



  • Continuously lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 10 lbs
  • Frequently lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 20 lbs
  • Occasionally lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 35 lbs
  • Rarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 75 lbs
  • Continuously working outside in changing temperatures, wet/humid conditions
  • Continuously working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter
  • Occasionally stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling
  • Continuously climbing and/or balancing
  • Frequently sitting/standing/walking



Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:



  • Must have at least a valid Class B CDL
  • Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or able to obtain prior to hire
  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years
  • Must not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years
  • Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas
  • Ability to travel between offices, as required
  • Ability to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable)
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language
