Description

Leidos is seeking a Pricing Director to lead our Digital Modernization Sector pricing team in our Reston VA corporate headquarters.The Digital Modernization Sector is focused on delivering performance-based IT services and repeatable solutions to include applying cloud-factory and aaS (as-a-Service) capabilities and integrating commercial products to provide a comprehensive digital engineering approach to IT transformation.

You should have a blend of deep expertise in federal acquisition regulations (FAR), cost accounting standards (CAS), and an agile, forward-looking approach to pricing as-a-Service, cloud, and emerging technology solutions as repeatable offerings. You will serve as a functional leader who's responsible for leading and mentoring a team of pricing professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and competitive cost volumes for U.S. federal and state government procurements, commercial offerings, and international engagements. Also, you will serve as a key business partner to our growth, financial, contracting, human resources, global supply chain, and technical teams, shaping winning strategies that align with both customer requirements and corporate financial goals. This position reports to the Vice President, Corporate Pricing.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Promotes the achievement of Sector goals and business objectives through strategy development and the delivery of compelling, accurate, and complete price proposals
  • Collaborates with solution architects and technical teams to translate digital modernization requirements into accurate and auditable cost estimates and pricing models that can adapt to new technologies and delivery methods
  • Develops and executes comprehensive pricing strategies for a variety of contract types, including firm fixed price (FFP), time & materials (T&M), cost-plus, commercial, and hybrid models
  • Influences and collaborates with business leaders throughout the full life cycle of the proposal process to ensure proposed solutions are profitable and sustainable
  • Promotes the standardization of processes and tools while coordinating improvements across the Sector working with others who participate in the proposal process
  • Maintains responsibility for talent management (recruiting, career development, performance reviews, and retention) and ensures the necessary resources and tools are in place to succeed
  • Assigns work within the Sector based upon the characteristics of each opportunity
  • Ensures compliance with our DCMA-approved cost estimating system and supports internal, DCAA and DCMA audit activities
  • Possesses SME level experience in cost volume and proposal development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field and 12+ years of experience dealing with a wide variety of estimating and proposal pricing activities, including cost development, pricing of federal and state governments, and commercial contracts.Additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Seven (7)+ years of experience supervising or leading teams.
  • Experience with all aspects of price and cost proposal preparation, including business risks, pricing strategies, compliance, and estimating practices for the U.S. government, commercial, and international clients and products.
  • The ability to work across all levels of functional leadership as well as with staff responsible for the day-to-day execution of the business.
  • The candidate must possess strong and proven analytical, verbal, written communication, presentation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of ProPricer.
  • Experience with alternative acquisition vehicles like other transaction agreements (OTA)
