A Brief Overview
The US LBM Director of Supply Chain Process, Tools and Indirect is responsible for overseeing the processes, tools and technology enabling the efficiency and effectiveness of Supply Chain, along with leading Strategic Sourcing for Indirect Spend. This role will lead the maturity roadmap aimed at developing, implementing and optimizing capabilities to differentiate supply chain performance aimed at improving the customer experience, increasing productivity with our supplier partners and optimizing working capital. This person will have direct leadership of the indirect sourcing, rebate and supplier credit teams while building additional capabilities of a world class supply chain platform. The role will collaborate closely with cross functional teams, suppliers and stakeholders to enable high performance for direct sourcing, fulfillment and local market/business teams.
What you will do
- Lead the development of a process, tool and technology roadmap aligned with Supply Chain and Business strategy to identify, resource and execute initiatives to achieve business objectives.
- Develop, resource and continually improve supply chain processes including rebates, supplier credit and indirect sourcing. Focus areas to include financial reporting, service level agreements (SLAs), risk management and forecast accuracy.
- Leverage supply chain best practices and benchmarking to develop innovative processes and tools for strategic sourcing, fulfillment, demand planning, M&A integration, etc. aimed at creating a competitive advantage in local markets.
- Collaborate with Direct and Indirect Strategic Sourcing leaders to develop category templates/playbooks, cost models, concentration strategies, supplier scorecards, supplier selection and qualification guidelines, and cost productivity practices.
- Support deployment and development of Fulfillment teams with scorecards, processes and tools to enable continuous improvement of product availability, on-time delivery, inventory health and profitability.
- Lead strategic sourcing strategy and productivity initiatives for $400M+ indirect spend. Partner with cross-functional budget owners to understand spend, develop category strategies, consolidate spend with preferred suppliers and execute projects to reduce operating and base cost expenses.
- Facilitate the integration of supply chain processes and tools during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring seamless transitions, alignment of systems, processes, supplier relationships, and achievement of synergy targets.
- Design and implement supplier scorecards, providing key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost, and service.
- Leverage analytics and data-driven decision-making to identify improvement opportunities, report on supply chain performance metrics and drive continuous improvement through Supply Chain operating cadence.
- Serve as a key liaison to senior leadership, providing insights and updates on process and tool effectiveness, performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify potential risks within the supply chain process and work with relevant teams to develop mitigation strategies.

Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in supply chain management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of the building material industry or distribution to support Supply Chain objectives.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong experience with supply chain processes, tools, and systems (ERP, SRM, etc.).
- Expertise in managing rebates, supplier credit, strategic sourcing, fulfillment, supplier quality, and supply chain risk management processes.
- Proven track record in driving M&A integration in supply chain functions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience leveraging analytics tools to drive insights and improve performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Knowledge of supplier management, quality control, and risk management best practices.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and drive process improvements.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
