ED Main Campus Supervisor (Day Shift)

40 hrs/wk (5 8-hour shifts or 4 10-hour shifts), Mon-Fri but may require occasional weekend shifts. ED Leadership experience required. Pay to commensurate with experience.

• Oversees day-to-day ED flow initiatives/operations
• Serves as direct supervisor for charge RNs and patient flow coordinators
• Resource for charge RNs/PFCs on shift. Provides real time follow-up on issues and concerns
• Reviews/follows up SafeDay reports, in collaboration with ED night shift supervisor
• Resolves medication discrepancies with pharmacy/other involved parties
• Ensures compliance of department audits
• Assures dept resources are kept up to date
• Assists manager with interviews/hiring decisions.
• Completes additional tasks under the direction of the Program Manager.

• Oversees nursing and UAP staff in documentation, patient care, staffing, and clinical competencies. Serves as a clinical expert for policies, procedures, documentation, and skills.
• Assists in the training and development of new and existing staff members, including performance appraisal.
• Assists in supervising clinical operations. Explains why clinical and financial management are important to the organization.
• Engages in the "workplace community" by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings and then reporting important information and updates back to staff.
• Maintains safety and quality as priorities, providing auditing and education for safety and quality initiatives.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and emergency response preparedness.

Bachelors of Science in Nursing, required.

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio.

Current CPR certification.

Must be willing to obtain and maintain NRP and PALS certification as determined by your manager.
