POSITION SPECIFICS The Office of Research Protections (ORP) at Penn State seeks a qualified candidate with a demonstrated commitment to strategic thinking, compliance, and collaboration to serve as Research Security Analyst. A leading public research university, Penn State's research expenditures exceeded $1.2 billion in fiscal year 2023 while its academic health center and system - Penn State Health - serves more than 2.8 million residents. As a member of the Office for Research Protections, you will be joining a team of individuals who have the ambition to help Penn State succeed. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Research Security Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of research activities, particularly in relation to federal funding and international collaborations. This position involves working independently on generally routine research security reviews with progressively more complex and/or varied problems.The Research Security Analyst will report to the Senior Research Security Analyst and support the development and growth of a robust research security program in an emerging and important compliance area. MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: NoneA Master's degree is preferred. The location of this position is flexible and can operate fully remote within the United States, fully in-person at Penn State's University Park Campus, or in a hybrid model of both in-person and remote. Standard working hours are in the Eastern Time Zone.
