POSITION SPECIFICS

Penn State is currently seeking a Digital Content Strategist in supporting Four Diamonds, a gift fund dedicated to conquering childhood cancer by assisting children and their families through superior care, comprehensive support and innovative research. As a member of the Division of Development and Alumni Relations, you can play an integral role in Penn State's future and contribute to one of the most successful fundraising and alumni relations operations in the country.

Reporting to the Marketing Director and working closely with the Four Diamonds team as well as other partners, the Digital Content Strategist will:

  • Manage social media strategy, content creation, scheduling, engagement, and analytics

  • Create and edit digital content including blogs, websites, social media, ads, and print materials

  • Ensure brand consistency across all platforms through proofreading and content calendar management

  • Design visual assets and produce short-form videos to support campaigns and engage audiences

  • Collaborate on marketing campaigns with internal teams, external partners, agencies, and vendors

  • Lead paid advertising and SEO efforts to boost visibility and performance across digital channels

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and video editing software;

  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills;

  • The ability to create and maintain an inclusive and respectful environment for all students and colleagues;

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills;

  • Experience with social media analytics, SEO, and paid advertising platforms;

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;

  • Passion for storytelling and mission-driven work;

  • A proven ability to self-motivate and work both independently and as part of a team;

  • A commitment to professional development, learning, and being mentored.

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. Penn State does not sponsor or take over sponsorship of a staff employment Visa. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $46,400.00 - $74,000.00.
