Job Summary
Responsible for managing all aspects of procurement activities, including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract negotiations, and operational purchasing. Leads initiatives to optimize costs, enhance procurement processes, and ensure the on-time delivery of quality materials. Develops and implements procurement strategies aligned with company goals, ensures compliance with legal and contractual requirements, and oversees procurement staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops, plans, and executes procurement strategies to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate supply risks.
- Manages company-wide procurement activities, including direct and indirect purchasing, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiations.
- Leads and develops a team of procurement professionals, including buyers and contract specialists, providing leadership, coaching, and performance management.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms that align with company objectives.
- Implements procurement policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with company standards and legal requirements.
- Conducts cost analysis, make-vs-buy assessments, and develop supplier sourcing strategies to optimize overall value.
- Oversees procurement forecasting, inventory planning, and demand management to support production schedules and operational needs.
- Monitors supplier performance, manages supplier risk assessment, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinates with internal stakeholders including engineering, manufacturing, and finance to align procurement efforts with operational goals.
- Maintains accurate procurement records, reports KPIs, and prepares procurement analytics for management review.
- Ensures timely procurement and delivery of materials to support production and project schedules.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related operational roles, with significant supervisory experience.
- Proven negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
- Knowledge of procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ariba) and strong analytical skills.
