Job Description

Position Summary

Albemarle is seeking a seasoned change leader to serve as Sr. Manager, Strategic Change Management & Execution. This role will be responsible for driving enterprise-wide change adoption on high-impact strategic initiatives. The role will partner closely with L1 and L2 leaders to embed change management practices into project execution and ensure successful outcomes.

While the change capability curriculum has been established, this role will oversee its continued use and evolution, identifying opportunities to upskill leaders, teams, and employees across the organization. The primary focus, however, is delivering hands-on change support for complex, cross-functional programs that are critical to Albemarle's long-range plan and transformation agenda.

This role sits within the Enterprise Strategy & Transformation team and plays a key part in translating strategy into results through structured, people-centric change.

This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office presence three days per week - Monday through Wednesday - in our Charlotte, NC office.

What you will do

  • Deliver Change on Strategic Initiatives: Lead the change management workstream on enterprise-wide projects, applying Albemarle's standardized methodology to drive adoption, mitigate resistance, and accelerate business results.
  • Partner with Senior Leaders: Collaborate with L1 and L2 business leaders to understand transformation goals, assess change impacts, and ensure sponsorship, engagement, and sustained adoption at all levels.
  • Strengthen Internal Capabilities: Manage and evolve the enterprise change capability curriculum. Identify new skills needed, as well as any upskilling requirements and partner with HR and business leaders to deliver targeted capability-building at all levels.
  • Change Planning & Execution: Lead or advise on stakeholder engagement, impact assessments, communication, training, resistance management, and adoption metrics.
  • Coach: Provide coaching and oversight to internal change agents and project teams to improve execution quality and consistency.
  • Align with Project Managers & Strategy: Work in close partnership with the Transformation Office and Strategy team to ensure change planning is integrated into project delivery.
  • Quality & Governance: Support quality assurance for change initiatives through the use of standards, templates, and best practices. Help manage demand and ensure the right level of support is matched to the initiative's complexity and strategic value. Continue to evolve tools and templates to ensure best practices are integral to solution delivery quality.
  • Contribute to COE Advancement: Actively support the ongoing evolution of the Change Management Center of Excellence and the internal Community of Practice.
