We are searching for a dynamic and motivated, experienced Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to join our team at our Bloomfield, Connecticut location. First shift hours are 7:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday, as business needs currently dictate one hour of mandatory daily overtime.

Our products are used in space, aviation, marine, hydropower and other industrial applications. As an industry leader we design, test and manufacture the highest performing, self-lubricating, roller element, metal to metal and miniature bearings in the industry.



Position Summary:


This role is responsible for the shipping and receiving process in a manufacturing environment, which includes ensuring documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying the accuracy of orders, and coordinating with suppliers and carriers to ensure timely deliveries. Additionally, the coordinator is responsible for maintaining inventory records, conducting regular audits to ensure stock accuracy, and addressing any discrepancies that may arise.



Responsibilities:



  • Interface with Carrier's internet portals to accurately input the required data for the transportation of customer's product.
  • Interface with Customer's internet portals to accurately input customer required data for the shipment of customer product.
  • Prepare documentation for the shipment of material such as Bills of Lading, Shippers Letter of Instructions etc.
  • Prepare appropriate Import/Export documentation to meet regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate movement with domestic and international carriers.
  • Review and properly input data into Kamatics' ERP system (IFS) for the shipment of material to Kamatics' domestic and international customers and suppliers.
  • Review and properly input data into Kamatics' ERP system for the receipt of product from Kamatics' Suppliers, Customers and Government agencies.
  • Document the movement of Hazardous material by law according to the Department of Transportation and International Air Transport Association.
  • Maintain all files, logs, spreadsheets as required.
  • Provide status of customer material received/shipped as required.
  • Use of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Accomplish related results as needed.



Requirements/Qualifications


Education:



  • High School diploma or educational equivalent


Experience:



  • Minimum of 4 years of shipping and receiving experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:




  • Solid computer skills, with the ability to work with Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ability to work with customer portals/software.
  • Strong attention to details and organizational skills are critical.
  • Ability to understand customer requirements.
  • Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to think independently and drive results.
  • Strong communication (speaking, listening, questioning) with ability to within a team, while maintaining a strong customer service mindset.



Physical Requirements:



  • Frequent lifting and moving heavy objects, up to 40 pounds
  • Frequent walking and standing
  • Frequent sitting at a computer workstation and grasping a mouse
  • Occasional bending, stooping, reaching and twisting
  • Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity
