Job Summary

Team Coordinators are clinical and administrative leaders for the Behavioral Health Outpatient Program, which specializes in providing evidence based, trauma informed, integrated services for individuals with substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders. Currently, this position oversees the Engagement Program, a cross-functional team that provides services to individuals which promote engagement in treatment and/or transition to other types of treatment and support.
In this role, you will:
- Provide clinical supervision to outpatient therapists to ensure appropriate service delivery, and for the achievement of clinical licensure.
- Provide administrative oversight to assure compliance with agency policies and procedures.
- Serve as a clinical lead on the implementation of Evidence Based Practices (EBP).
- Collaborate closely with other MHSADS programs and community partners, including Youth Services, Department of Family Services, the Public Schools, Adult Probation, Alcohol Safety Action Program, and the Department of Community Corrections.
- Apply your specific education and professional expertise to diagnose and provide treatment for mental illness and/or substance use disorders.
- Provide assessments, treatment planning, individual, group, and family therapy, and crisis intervention to individuals presenting with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders.
- Complete and maintain all clinical documentation in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and agency policies and procedures.
Salary commensurate with experience.
This position is eligible for a $6,000 hiring bonus in accordance with the County's Hiring and Retention Bonus Program.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree and currently possess professional licensure through the VA Department of Health Professions Board as a: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT); or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP). Candidates who hold out of state licensure and are eligible for licensure through VA endorsement will also be considered; two (2) years professional experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use diagnoses, which may include internship experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Comprehensive clinical skills in providing individual, group, and family therapy. Ability to provide behavioral health services remotely, with appropriate technical support, and according to professional standards.

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

- Work schedule is 37.5 hours per week and includes some evening hours.
- Office locations include the Leesburg and Sterling sites.
- Must possess and maintain an active license in good standing by the VA Department of Health Professions Board throughout employment, to include: LCSW, LPC, LCP, or LMFT.
- Must currently hold or be approved as a Clinical Licensure Supervisor within three (3) years of hire date by the Department of Health Professions Board to provide clinical supervision to Residents/Supervisees.
- Prefer certification as a Preadmission Screening Clinician (CPASC) and may be required depending on assignment.
- Prefer at least one (1) certification in Disaster Behavioral Health Services, Psychological First Aid, and/or Critical Incident Stress Management; may be required depending on assignment. May become a CIT trainer.
- Must hold and maintain licenses and certifications relevant to position.
- Employment is contingent upon successfully passing pre-employment background check, to include fingerprinting, credit, NCIC, DMV and TB test.
- Must be fitted for N-95 (or similar) mask to safely provide on-site services as needed.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification).
