We strive to build broad community support via onsite customer service, membership and ticket sales, group visits and field trips, and call center communication.

Group Programs Associates are responsible for coordinating the arrival of school and adult groups to the museum and leading student and youth visitors in art-making workshops. This role is designed to expand on the Sales & Group Services Associate I role. Spanish language fluency preferred. This role is primarily operational and administrative and includes opportunities to support programming. Schedule: 30-39 hours per week. Weekdays and some weekend hours required.

Location: Denver Art Museum.

Pay Range: $19.50 - $21.00/hour (Based on experience).

A $0.50/hour language differential is available for candidates who demonstrate Spanish language proficiency.

What You'll Do

There are three main components to the Group Services Associate position, including:

Welcome Desk



  • Utilize visitor service skills by checking in and assisting museum visitors in a friendly and approachable manner, assisting and addressing needs, concerns, and complaints to ensure an outstanding visitor experience
  • Act as a resource for questions relating to collections and museum programming, ticketing and group reservations, membership, and accessibility
  • Sell tickets, memberships, and donations through ATMS ticketing system
  • Coordinate onsite reception for all youth and adult group visitors, including orientation, collection of payment, and organization of tours.
  • Serve as a role model for SGSI associates regarding customer service, compliance with procedures, and best practices.



Administrative



  • Process group reservation requests in the museum's ticketing system
  • Manage phone, email, and in-person communications with teachers and organizations relating to requests for field trips and guided tours
  • Make outbound confirmation calls to organizations and schools to confirm group and field trip reservations
  • Monitor, document, and categorize visitor feedback submitted online, onsite, or over the phone
  • Assist with special projects related to the department



Program Facilitation



  • Lead artmaking workshops for Early Childhood Education (ECE) through 12th grade audiences
  • Ensure workshops are welcoming and inspiring spaces for young visitors, including through regular setup and cleanup duties
  • Inventory, stock, and prep art supplies and other materials for the workshop spaces
  • Support summer camp lunch breaks

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

You might be a great fit if you have:



  • Excellent customer service skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate, collaborate, and work effectively with a wide variety of people
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasking fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills preferred
  • May be called upon to stand or move around the museum campus for extended periods of time
  • Dynamic; able and willing to be flexible if changes arise
  • Interest in working with children from 4-18 years old
  • Spanish language fluency preferred
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Experience leading youth programming (ECE - 12th grade) preferred

  • Other typical office equipment
  • Artmaking materials and tools



The position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with AFSCME-CWU.
