Tessera is seeking a hardworking and dedicated General Maintenance Worker Ii with a positive attitude. Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Responsible for a variety of tasks, including painting, carpentry (including siding), plumbing, masonry, grouting ceramic tile floors/walls, and minor electrical work. Replacing glass in windows and doors. Replacing/repairing door hardware. Clearing roof drains and gutters. Repairing ceiling tiles and installing small wall fixtures with accuracy, such as whiteboards and hand sanitizers. Responsible for using plaster or compound to patch holes and cracks in walls and ceilings. Touch-up painting and caulking. Responsible for minor repairs on sinks, water coolers, and toilets. Caulking plumbing fixtures. Responsible for minor repairs on concrete floors, steps, stoops, decks, and sidewalks. Communicate and interact directly with the customer and supervisors, informing the customer of unexpected or additional repairs and determining customer needs. Share an on-call rotation and be available to respond to emergent calls in both Everett and the Oak Harbor location. Respond to customer inquiries and complaints. Ensure completed work meets quality control standards. Make difficult diagnoses and suggest solutions and repairs to customers and supervisors. Communicate with the scheduler to update the status of repairs and estimate completion dates. Follow all Safety Procedures and Policies. Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor. Be available to perform scheduled service order work on an occasional overtime basis. Have a collaborative attitude and value being a part of a fast-paced, versatile maintenance team.
Qualifications:
Must have knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. Must be able to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods of time, occasionally in adverse weather conditions. Must have good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, and a good sense of balance.
Physical Requirements: Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties. Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required. Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
