Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm; hybrid work opportunity

JOB SUMMARY:
The Supervisor II, Rehire, will assist the program Manager in establishing and maintaining program reporting and development for all Rehire Colorado (Rehire is a transitional job program) Program activities. The Supervisor II maintains all records as required by Rehire Colorado, as well as County, State and Federal guidelines. To increase employability for Rehire participants through support, referrals, accountability, job coaching, and subsidized employment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Colorado Rehire Program Coordination:
- The Supervisor II will assist the Transitional Jobs Manager with program oversight for the Rehire Program. The Supervisor II will be proactive in assisting the Transitional Jobs Manager in developing new and improved procedures and processes as needed. The Supervisor II will also proof and approve timecards for program participants. Supervisor II is responsible for monitoring performance reports received from program sites. In addition, the incumbent will ensure that all program outcomes are accurate and routinely maintained. In addition, Supervisor II will take the lead role in providing support with client problems or concerns. The incumbent will be responsible for communicating on a routine and constant basis with Transitional Jobs Manager.
Rehire Program:
- The Supervisor II will develop/possess a working knowledge of Rehire Colorado procedures, as well as exercise the ability to implement them within the guidelines established by the Colorado State Rehire Office. The incumbent is responsible for communicating on a routine and consistent basis with all Workforce Development coworkers, Supervisors, and Goodwill personnel. The Supervisor II is responsible for conducting all interviews and assessments in a professional and timely manner and in such a way that the rights and dignity of the clients are preserved. The Supervisor II will identify significant barriers, assign appropriate host sites, and offer applicable community agency referrals to participants.
Staff Supervision and Development:
- The Supervisor II is responsible for providing direct supervision to Case Managers and Job Developers. The Supervisor II will coordinate and monitor direct reports in all areas of the operation to ensure all workers are utilizing the best practice models and that program recipients are receiving quality services. The incumbent is responsible for working through all personnel issues for direct reports including performance evaluations and will assist the Program Manager with interviewing, hiring, and terminating staff directly and indirectly supervised. The Supervisor II will also proof and approve timecards for staff and is responsible for ensuring staffing coverage is appropriate by managing vacation requests.
Client/Program Tracking and Report:
- The Supervisor II must maintain complete and accurate records and statistical data for each case, as required. In addition, this individual must complete all necessary and required program documentation and reports. The Supervisor II is responsible for developing and possessing a working knowledge of the Rehire Colorado automated system, as well as exercising the ability to utilize the automated system within the guidelines established by the Colorado State Rehire Office and the Department of Human Services (DHS). The incumbent will keep accurate records of jobs obtained, utilizing direct contacts and other means to obtain information.
Relationship Management:
- Supervisor II will communicate routinely and consistently with all Workforce Development co-workers, supervisors, DHS, and State staff, and coordinate with other involved community agencies and support personnel. The incumbent will demonstrate a high level of customer service with all clients. The incumbent will keep the Manager informed of progress, considerations, and pertinent information as well as any issues that may arise. The Supervisor II shall participate in in-service training sessions. The incumbent will deal effectively and calmly with non-routine situations following accepted guidelines. This individual will assist with special projects, serve on committees as needed, attend all pertinent staff and other meetings as required and perform other duties as required by the Program Manager.
Research and Industry Involvement:
- The Supervisor II is required to research in order to keep skills and knowledge updated by reading trade journals, various appropriate Intranet and Internet sources as well as print media as needed to be aware of trends, theories or initiatives within Rehire Colorado and other applicable programs and services. The incumbent will maintain a working and current knowledge of all laws, regulations, policies, directives, systems forms and available professional material pertaining to and applicable to this position. The incumbent will seek out ideas and stay current with trends in new software, tools and resources available. The Supervisor II must also maintain a working and current knowledge of Goodwill's policies and procedures as well as community resources, services available through the Business Center, and all classes offered through the Community Impact Division.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
- A Bachelor Degree in Business, Human Services or related field is preferred. An Associate Degree in Business, Human Services or related field is required.
Experience:
- 2 years previous job coaching experience; or 4 years previous job coaching experience.
Other:
- It is preferred that Supervisor II have excellent written and verbal communication skills, write clear, concise, and accurate case notes and plans, and submit them in a timely fashion.
- The incumbent must demonstrate the ability to interact with various types of internal and external customers, management, staff members as well as other community agencies in a culturally respectful and appropriate manner.
- The incumbent must be self-motivated, possess excellent time management skills, be able to work independently as well as cooperatively, and to exercise effective planning while working with the pressure of deadlines.
- The Supervisor II must maintain operational proficiency in the automated data processing system.
- Must be flexible, able to motivate clients and utilize effective negotiating and counseling techniques.
- The incumbent must also conduct self in a professional manner and maintain a professional appearance that enhances the firm's reputation.
- The Supervisor II must have experience speaking effectively to various small groups in a presenting/informative role.
- Position requires sitting for extended periods and using a computer keyboard for a minimum of four (4) hours each day.
- The incumbent will be expected to maintain confidentiality regarding agency and client records and information.
- Overtime and/or weekend hours may be required when necessary as well as some travel to attend meetings and required training.
- The incumbent will be required and must have the ability to drive for company business*.
*Per auto vehicle insurance carrier requirements: For applicants/employees to qualify for inclusion on the Goodwill driver insurance schedule, for purpose of driving Goodwill fleet vehicles, or for purpose of receiving company mileage reimbursement they must be at least:
- 19 years of age (not engaged in passenger transportation),
- 25 - 70 years of age for all passenger transportation services,
- 21 years of age for CDL.
