We are currently looking for a full-time Product manager on our Strategic marketing team for our Packaging division. This role will drive the development, launch, and lifecycle management of innovative packaging solutions that meet customer needs and align with market trends for a market segment or segments. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Product Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Sales, Operations, and external stakeholders to ensure our products deliver value, sustainability, and competitive differentiation. When benefits really help you live better. - Group insurance (including health, life, disability, dental and travel insurance) - Paid paternity leave and educational reimbursement - Immediately vested 401k with company match - Supplier discounts on various products - Regular full-time position - Participatory management Responsibilities When your actions lead to success: Product Strategy & Roadmap: * Develop and maintain a product roadmap for flexible plastic packaging solutions, aligned with company goals and market demands. * Conduct market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive positioning. * Define product specifications, features, and value propositions in collaboration with Marketing and R&D teams. Product Development & Launch: * Lead cross-functional teams to design, develop, and launch new packaging products, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. * Partner with R&D to innovate sustainable and cost-effective packaging solutions (e.g., recyclable or biodegradable materials). * Create go-to-market strategies, including pricing, positioning, and promotional plans, in collaboration with Marketing and Sales. Market & Customer Engagement: * Act as the voice of the customer within the organization, gathering feedback from clients, Sales, and market data to inform product enhancements. * Develop marketing collateral, product training materials, and sales enablement tools to support product adoption. * Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to promote our packaging solutions. Performance & Lifecycle Management: * Monitor product performance metrics (e.g., sales, profitability, customer satisfaction) and recommend improvements or phase-outs. * Manage product lifecycle, from ideation to end-of-life, ensuring continuous alignment with market needs and regulatory requirements. * Track and ensure compliance with environmental and industry regulations (e.g., FDA, EPA, or sustainability standards). Cross-Functional Collaboration: * Work closely with Operations to optimize production processes and ensure scalability of new products. * Partner with Sales to provide technical expertise and support during customer pitches and negotiations. * Collaborate with Marketing to develop compelling campaigns that highlight product benefits and sustainability features. Qualifications When your expertise drives us: * Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred. * 3-5 years of product management experience, ideally in packaging, plastics, or a related B2B industry. * Experience working within or closely with Marketing teams to develop customer-facing strategies. * Customer facing experience preferred * Strong Analytical/Financial skills and associated tools e.g. excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce * Strong understanding of flexible plastic packaging, materials science, or manufacturing processes. * Proven ability to manage complex projects with cross-functional teams and deliver results under tight deadlines. * Excellent market research and analytical skills to identify trends and customer needs. * Exceptional communication and presentation skills to influence internal teams and external stakeholders. * Knowledge of sustainability trends and regulations in packaging (e.g., recyclable or compostable materials).
