Job Title: Patient Access Representative- Scheduling Location: Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA Job Summary As a Patient Access Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients seeking care at the Cancer Center. You will be responsible for scheduling appointments, registering patients, verifying insurance, and ensuring a smooth and compassionate experience for patients and their families. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities * Schedule and confirm patient appointments via phone and electronic systems. * Register patients and verify insurance eligibility and benefits. * Collect co-payments and reconcile payments. * Process referrals and authorizations for various insurance types. * Maintain accurate patient records in EPIC and other EMR systems. * Provide clear explanations of policies, procedures, and services. * Handle patient/provider correspondence and resolve concerns. * Sanitize workspaces according to department guidelines. Required Qualifications * High School Diploma or GED required; two years of college preferred. * Minimum of one year of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare. * Experience with EMR systems (EPIC preferred). * Understanding of medical terminology. * Strong oral and written communication skills. * Ability to multitask and work independently or as part of a team. * Bi-lingual preferred. Work Environment * On-site role at Cedars-Sinai Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
