SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES Position is responsible for execution, support, and management within the Consumer Credit Administration Division of first line risk under South State's Enterprise Risk Management Framework. Reporting to the Director of Consumer Credit Risk, the Manager is the point-of-contact for the Bank's Consumer lending and credit attestation examiners, including Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Fair Lending, SOX/Internal Controls Risk, Segment Risk, and other risk functions. It is expected that the Manager will possess experience managing lending and credit administration audits. This individual will also provide input for the risk assessment and audit planning process. The Manager's performance will be impacted by his or her ability to build strong relationships with Bank Management, addressing their most critical risk and control issues in a measurable way, and add value as a key source of internal control and risk management best practices. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for providing guidance to Consumer Credit Administration Management as the subject matter expert on applicable regulatory and internal control requirements to support the Director of Consumer Credit Risk in their risk oversight responsibilities to ensure division meets regulatory and internal control requirements. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Understand the top and emerging risks facing the enterprise and incorporate these risks into execution of the risk management program on an ongoing basis. Serve as the primary contact for Risk Management (Fair Lending, ERM, Business Continuity, BSA, Vendor Management, Compliance, etc.) and Internal Audit on matters relating to Consumer Credit Administration Support SouthState's ERM Framework to provide a consolidated view of risk in the organization and compliance with the company's Risk Appetite Statement. Collaborate with Risk Management, Internal Audit, and other risk groups to continuously improve risk management activities and oversight in the company. Develop strong partnerships with business units and stakeholders. Maintain informal and formal communications channels with all levels in the organization to gather risk data, obtain confirmation of effectiveness of controls, and help disseminate a risk culture throughout the organization. Provide oversight and guidance to management to ensure risks, controls and issues are captured in the company's Governance Risk and Compliance system of record and addressed according to risk appetite. Assist in creating and maintaining the risk assessment process, through Risk Registers and Bank Risk Assessments. Develop and lead or otherwise support Business Process Risk Assessments as assigned to assess risk end-to-end for the enterprise. Participate in and support key initiatives such as new product and service development, infrastructure changes, conversions, etc. to ensure that risk(s) are appropriately addressed. Facilitate and support training on operational risk, current industry practices, and risk mitigation standards. Manage projects in accordance with applicable standards, identify significant control issues, and provide quality recommendations. Foster a positive environment receptive to change and effectively manage for a team environment. Support ongoing Credit Administration enhancements through various strategic initiatives. Perform review of testing performed and results produced during attestations to ensure accuracy Assist with the gathering of information for regulatory exams or audits. Assure all confidential information is properly safeguarded in accordance with Bank policies.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Education: An undergraduate degree is required. Graduate education such as Masters in Business Administration is considered a plus. Experience: 5+ years of experience with previous Risk Management and/or Internal Audit experience in banking preferred. Prior management and/or supervisory experience along with Public Accounting experience considered a plus. Knowledge: Understanding of general bank risk functions, strong interpersonal skills, proficient computer skills, and prioritizing projects. Strong technical, accounting, business, and auditing background with substantial experience gained in the banking industry.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES On the job training and any additional training, as needed. Required annual compliance training. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY This position has supervisory responsibilities. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT Must be able sit for long periods of time.
