Job Summary

The Assembler performs a variety of production tasks involving electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies, including modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. This role requires working from engineering diagrams and drawings to complete assembly tasks using hand tools, power tools, jigs, and saws. The Assembler ensures all work meets quality and safety standards, performs continuity checks, and may assist in reworking or testing prototype assemblies under simulated conditions. This position requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and adherence to safety protocols when handling potentially hazardous materials.

Job Responsibilities




  • Assemble electronic and/or mechanical components and subassemblies according to detailed drawings, diagrams, and specifications



  • Perform layouts, fitting, and alignment of parts using hand tools, power tools, jigs, and saws



  • Conduct continuity checks and quality inspections on in-process and completed work to ensure compliance with specifications



  • Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble experimental or prototype assemblies as required



  • Maintain accurate production records and follow established procedures and safety guidelines



  • Handle and work safely with potentially hazardous materials, such as paint and various chemicals



  • Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives within the production area



  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment




Job Requirements




  • High school diploma or equivalent required



  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and/or electronic assembly processes



  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical instructions



  • Experience using hand and power tools, including jigs and saws



  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work



  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately



  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required



  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a production team environment



  • Willingness to handle and work safely with hazardous materials following all safety protocols
